No, that’s not a typo, this is Maxime’s thunderstorm (orage) wine. Living through droughts since 2017, Maxime was desperate for a late-season blast of rain that never came. He created this blend to use the more concentrated Gewurztraminer.

Winemaking: Hand-harvested, pressed directly to barrels. Gewurztraminer lees are decanted after a 9 month rest, and blended into the direct-pressed Pinot Noir. Aged for a further year in barrel.

Soil: Sandy granitic soils.
