3ha of 200-year-old vines spread across 4 plots in the "Cordillera de Nahuelbuta". South facing vines at 350m (high-ish for the area). The wine is an expression of the granitic soil of the "cordillera" and of the vines roots which are very close to the ground. De-stemmed by hand and gently crushed. Gentle punching down every day, maybe a few times per day. One week maceration, fermentation in steel, then aged in 7-8 year old French and American oak barrels. Free-run and pressed juice is separated.

Acid: 3.38 g/l

Sulphur: 30mg/l max

Soil: Granitic, solidified magma, quartz, red clay, volcanic material from deep inside the volcano.
